This week we are....

Reading  Students will study characterization this week. We will discuss the difference in personality and physical traits. As a class, we will study the relationships between characters and the impact it has on a character’s personality and traits.
 
Writing- Students will work on completing their first rough draft and move on to revising and editing. Revision is the improvement of the way the paper sounds and editing is about the grammatical issues in their paper. The grammar of the first paper will only be graded on the rules we’ve covered thus far.
 
Math – Students will estimate to solve problems involving addition and subtraction of whole numbers.  We will also solve problems using addition and subtraction with out estimation.
 
Science – Students will continue to investigate animals including how they are classified and their adaptations that help them to survive.
 
Social StudiesStudents will complete the unit on the Native American tribes of Texas. The foldable they have been working on in class will be due for a daily grade.
