The Weekend!

Hello Everyone! Hope you had a good weekend! On Saturday, all the Fourth Grade teachers got together at Mrs. Davis' house. We had a great time. I spent the rest of the weekend cleaning the house and getting ready for another week. :) What did you do this weekend? See you tomorrow!

Sea of Green!

It roared to life. With a gentle lean, we were propelling forward with each step. My fingers began to ache as I hold down on the handle.  Bugs flew out from underneath for fear their shelter was being invaded. The cut became routine each week. Following behind with the sweltering heat cooking my back, I moved forward. Sweat was dripping into my eyes as I fought to find my path.  The clippings were fireworks on the Fourth of July. I sneezed from the smell of the freshly butchered blades. I know next week it will be time to cut the grass again. Next time I'll watch from inside. :)

One Day Down!

We had a FABULOUS first day! Supplies were flying every which way as we settled in.  The fun begins tomorrow. We will hit the road running! Don't forget to brush up on those multiplication facts. :) See you tomorrow.

Movin' On Up!

Let me tell you a little something about Fourth Grade, Jan Schiff, and a new year. The doors open at 7:30am and the chatter of students begins.  Laughter, nervousness, and fear fills the hallways. Teachers stand proud to watch a new group of students enter their classroom believing they can make a difference.  Fourth grade is a year of discovery.  We will learn to write like rock stars, divide like professionals, and read until the lights go out. Let me tell you a little something about Fourth Grade, Jan Schiff, and a new year.

I am looking forward to a great school year. Share with us what you are most excited about this year! :)
